Punkaharju is one of Finland’s most famous landscapes and is also home to valuable art destinations. On the tour, you will get to explore not only the ridge landscapes of Punkaharju but also the stunning Johanna Oras Art Manor and the Asema Art Pier. During the trip, there is an opportunity to have lunch at the Metsä Restaurant in Hotel Punkaharju.
Departure from Savonlinna city center, from where we drive to Punkaharju and the Johanna Oras Art Manor. At the summer studio located in the manor’s courtyard, there is an opportunity to observe the artist at work. At the art exhibition, you can explore the works of Johanna Oras. After visiting the Art Manor, we continue to the Punkaharju ridge area, where we will visit the Asema Art Pier. The Asema Art Pier is a high-quality and diverse art exhibition housed in an old station building. At the Art Pier, the beautiful architecture of the old train station, the artworks, and a warm sense of community come together. In 2026, the Asema Art Pier will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The journey continues to the Metsä Restaurant at Hotel Punkaharju for lunch or coffee. Hotel Punkaharju and the Metsä Restaurant are run by the valued chef Ilkka Lääveri and Satu Helin, known for the Huono Äiti brand. In addition to the Punkaharju restaurant, they also run the high-quality Le Ankka restaurant in Helsinki.
After lunch, we drive along the famous Punkaharju Ridge Road, with a short stop offering the chance to admire the national landscape. The tour ends in Savonlinna city center.
