Guided Services
Would you like to learn more about the fascinating history of Savonlinna and its surrounding areas, without forgetting the present day? Savonlinna has a rich and layered past, serving as a crossroads between East and West, and later as an important port town on Lake Saimaa. All of this has shaped the region’s culture and people over the centuries.
Our professional guides will lead you to the secrets of the area in Savonlinna, Kerimäki, and Punkaharju.
The two guided tours presented below (1.5 hours) are examples of our most popular excursions. We also offer 2–3 hour tours, which can include, for example, the town center of Savonlinna along with the scenic landscapes of Punkaharju or the famous church in Kerimäki.
You can also book a guide for a full day or even multiple days, with the itinerary fully tailored to your wishes.

Along the route, you will see Savonlinna’s historic town center, where the old marketplace was located, as well as the current market square and passenger harbour. We drive over the city’s many bridges to view the industrial area in the eastern part of town and continue westward to see the old, still-operational shipyard and the 18th-century bell tower.
The bus tour can be complemented with a half-hour guided walking tour along Linnankatu, Finland’s oldest inland street, which leads directly to Olavinlinna Castle.
